Having been in Switzerland for over 3 years I’m mystified how I’ve never known about this before… The Basler Herbstmesse.. Basically its a fair spread out across the city of Basel.. I didn’t manage to get round it all, having a screwy ankle at the moment means too much walking wasn’t great.. I had two main aims – go on some good rides and go on the big wheel – mission accomplished.

Was a great day out – loads of people and some really fun rides – especially the Rocket! A ride that takes you up with great views over the city whilst spinning and turning you upside down On all the ride tho I spent my entire time giggling, the sign of a good ride.

I’d forgotten how much fun the fair was.. and cursing how I’d not been to the Basler Herbstmesse before!
